DescriptionBlack leather shoes, with an ankle strap extending from the top of the center back. The ankle strap fastens with a black button at the center front of the ankle; on shoe ".a" is the original dome-shaped enameled metal shank button, and on shoe ".b" is a replacement button (possibly jet) in a cone shape. The toes are square, and the brown leather soles are straight and flat. The throatline and straps are bound with dark cotton tape. The shoes are seamed only at the center back. The uppers are lined with plain-woven natural cotton. The sock linings, over brown leather, are also plain-woven cotton and are mostly worn away.
