Object number2006.65.5
InscribedOn verso, in pencil: upper right, "Looking east, from my House about 1860"; lower right, accession number.NotesDate Note: Although the inscription on the back, in Nelson Augustus Moore's hand, states that the photograph was taken "about 1860," the Stonehouse was not completed until 1861, and the inscription implies that the house was in existence when the photograph was taken. It probably was taken a few years later, in the mid-1860s. (Finlay 9/22/2006)

Subject Note: The view is from the back of the Stonehouse, the Moore family home in Kensington, Connecticut. (Finlay 9/22/2006)
