Biography: Rowland & Marsellus were importers, wholesalers and retailers, especially of souvenir wares. The company worked out of New York, and flourished from about 1893 -1938. They dealt with numerous Stoke-on-Trent pottery manufacturers and then sold the wares (with an R&M Co. backstamp) to other distributors in the United States. Their exact dates of business are unknown. The dates used in this record reflect information gathered from the objects that the company imported.
