Biography: Andrew Jackson was born 15 March 1867 in Waxhaw Settlement, South Carolina. He was the son of Andrew and Elizabeth Hutchinson Jackson. He married Mrs. Rachel Donelson Robards; they had no children, but he adopted his wife's nephew, who was called Andrew Jackson, Jr. Andrew Jackson became a general in the United States Army and was later elected the seventh President of the United States. He served two terms, from 1829 to 1837. He died near Nashville, Tennessee, on 8 June 1845.
