Description: A man is seated beneath a large tree. Another man with pack on his back stands in front of him. Three men or boys are on the river bank. One of them holds a fishing pole. A row boat and a ferry boat are on the river. The ferry slip is visible in the background near a bridge and the buildings and church steeples of a large town.
Inscription: On recto, beneath image, in letterpress, "THE CONNECTICUT, ABOVE MIDDLETOWN." On verso, lower right, in pencil, accession number.
