Description: Drawings include plans for basement, first floor, second floor and notes on cost of square footage. Plans include play room, coal room, boiler, classrooms, wardrobe, assembly hall, office, stair and corridor reinforced concrete cement finish. Scale for drawings is 1/8" = 1'0".
Constituent Note: It seems possible that D.R. Brown is David R. Brown, a student and partner of Henry Austin. If this is correct, Brown would have been extremely elderly at the time the school was designed. Date of building construction can be found on "History page" of the school's website.
Inscription: On recto, lower right, in pencil; "ST LAWERENCE SCHOOL / WEST HAVEN, CONN." "St. Lawrence School, West Haven, Ct. / Rev. J.J. Curtin. / Brown & Von Beren Archt's / Cost $ 29000.00". Also on recto, lower right, in pencil; notes on cost of square footage. Numerous inscriptions identify parts of buildings, locations, etc.
