Description: Studio wedding portrait of a young man and a young woman. He wears a tuxedo with a white shirt and white tie. He has a handkerchief in his breast pocket, a rosebud on his lapel, and a ring on his left hand. She is wearing a satin wedding gown, a long veil trimmed with lace, and a headpiece trimmed with pearls. She holds a bouquet of roses, ferns and baby's breath and has a cross on a chain around her neck. She is seated on an upholstered bench. Drapery is in the background.
Subject Note: Christopher "Bat" Battalino (1908-1977) was Featherweight boxing champion of the world from 1927 to 1932. He married Lillian Rotondo on 29 April 1929 at St. Anthony's Church in Hartford, Connecticut.
