Description: Collage consisting of a piece of off-white paper with a drawing of the facade of a Greek temple, possibly the Parthenon; next to it is a print depicting jamb figures from a French Gothic Cathedral, possibly Notre Dame or Chartres.
Subject Note: This collage suggest Clifford Mitchelll's interest in the great classics of Western architecture: Greek temples and Gothic cathedrals. Mitchell's ongoing interest in church architecture is reflected in his own work, especially his storefront church series.
