Description: This is the first Breakers Hotel, which burned in 1903; the Beach Casino is to the right. The photograph was taken from the Royal Poinciana Hotel; service buildings are in the foreground, and the Royal Casino is on the right. To the left are the cottages on what is known as "Breakers Row." From the caption in the exhibition list for "The Photographs of Harriet V.S. Thorne," written by Rollie McKenna.
