Description: Two owls are seated on the branch of a tree. A banner held in the beak of the owl on the left reads: "Have you seen the Bee Hive Bonnets?" The owl on the right holds a banner that reads: "What! Millinery at the Bee Hive?"
Inscription: On recto, lithographed title, "BEE HIVE, MAIN & TEMPLE Sts. / HARTFORD, CONN." On verso, lithographed advertisement that reads in part: "... elegant new department devoted [to] / [MI]LLINERY GOODS / And its Magnificent Stock of / suits, Dress[es] and [?] / FOR LADIES, MISSES, AND CHILDRE[N]". In pencil: upper right, old and new accession number; lower right, "74043".
