Description: Three-quarter-length portrait of a woman wearing a dress, a shawl, and jewelry, including a tiara, earrings, and a brooch, and a cross suspended from a necklace. Drapery with tassels and a fluted column are in the background. A crown and ermine fur, possibly trimming a robe, are in the left foreground.
Subject Note: Queen Adelaide was the wife of William IV, King of England, who reigned from 1830-1837.
