Description: A bust-length portrait of a bearded man wearing a coat, vest, shirt, and necktie is surrounded by a large funeral wreath. The wreath is made of black and white twisted cloth, with red, white, and blue ribbons wrapped around it. Streamers on the bottom read: "JUSTICE, LIBERTY EQUALITY". Laurel leaves are at the top and bottom. At the top is a dove holding an olive branch in its beak.
Inscription: On recto, lithographed title beneath image, "ABRAHAM LINCOLN. / SIXTEENTH PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. / Born February 12. 1809. Died April 15. 1865. / 445." On verso, upper left, in red pencil, "878". In pencil, lower left, "S. St. J. Morgan"; lower right, "11 x 14" "Dwr 56" "4.00" "1 1/2 maple" accession number.
