Description: Three-quarter-length portrait of a young man wearing a military uniform with cap, epaulets, sash, medal, and gloves. He has a mustache. He holds a sword; its scabbard is attached to his belt, which has an eagle on it.
Inscription: On recto, lithographed title beneath image, "COL. MICHAEL CORCORAN, / Commanding the Sixty-ninth (Irish) Regiment. N.Y.S.M. / Captured by the Rebels at the Battle of Bull Run, and incarcerated in prison like a common felon. / ERIN GO BRAGH / [image of a harp]". On verso, inscribed in pencil: lower left, "Print / Box 6 / #37" and "274 [in a circle]"; lower right, "Consv 1987 / CPC" "Dwr 3" "Neg #2026" and accession number.
