Description: Distant view of a city on a lake with mountains in the background. In the foreground, three women and a man appear to be gathering nuts which a fourth man, who stands on a ladder at the far right, is knocking from a tree with a pole. The man on the ground holds a scythe. One woman holds a sack. Trees and two large buildings with tiled roofs, probably houses, are on the slope of the hill behind them. Smoke issues from the chimney of the house at the right. In the valley below, a group of large buildings appear to be part of an institution. Additional buildings, some with steeples or towers, are in the city in the distance. A few boats are on the lake.
