Description: View of a small, rocky island in a lake surrounded by mountains. A small building that resembles a shed or an outhouse and evergreen trees are on the island, which is reflected in the water. Three men in a rowboat are in the left foreground. A building with a cupola, possibly a house, and a large hotel with grassy lawns are on the far shore of the lake. Two additional islands or promontories are on the right.

Inscription: On recto, lithographed title beneath image, "CALDWELL, (LAKE GEORGE." / 221." On verso, in red ink, upper left, "824". In pencil: lower left, "Consv CPC 1987"; lower right, "Dwr 21" "Print / Box 7 / #26 [upsidedown]", and accession number.
