Description: Group of photographs depict interior views of G. Fox & Co. including store window displays, telephone and switchboard operators, and the women employees who work on the 8th floor. 2007.45.54, 2007.45.55, and 2007.45.56 show window displays of women's garments including hats, skirts, blouses, shoes, and dresses that are displayed on mannequins and hat racks. 2007.45.57 and 2007.45.58 show the switchboard operators with their telephone headsets and newspaper advertisements at the ready. 2007.45.57 depicts Beatrice Fox Auerbach using one of the telephones as a man listens in with another headset. 2007.45.58 shows a line of female switchboard operators working as Beatrice Fox Auerbach and an unidentified man look on. 2007.45.59 shows women employees working on the 8th floor of the G. Fox & Co. department store building in 1919. Each woman is seated at a separate desk with a typewriter.
