Auerbach, in a suit and wearing glasses. 2007.24.283 shows a bust-length portrait of a woman, Beatrice Fox Auerbach, wearing a pearl necklace and pearl earrings. 2007.24.284 shows a woman, Anni Albers, in a wheelchair dressed in an academic gown receiving an honorary Doctor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Hartford. Handing her the degree is a man, Stephen Joel Trachtenberg, the president of the university, who is standing behind a podium and also wears an academic gown. A man, Dr. David Komisar, stands behind Ms. Albers and a woman, Georgette Auerbach Koopman, stands at the far right of the photograph, both of whom are wearing academic gowns. Mrs. Koopman also wears sunglasses. In the background are men and women clapping, many of whom are also wearing academic gowns. On the building behind them is a partially visible sign for the University of Hartford.
