The address of this particular house is unknown, but the style and date suggest that it was built either in the West End of Hartford or in the immediate area. Description: Plans show a three-story Dutch Colonial Revival house featuring a gambrel roof with overhanging eaves, and clipped gable dormers on the third floor. Notable features of the house include stucco doric columns on the veranda and front side porch, as well as a front pedimented overdoor supported by scroll-sawed brackets, with engaged doric pilasters for detail. The windows on the house are primarily louvered double-hung sash windows in either the eight-over-eight, six-over-six, or four-over-four configurations. Other windows featured include large tripart wondows on the south and north elevation, which also features grouped casement windows. Eight drawings are included in the set; south, east, north and west elevations, as well as, cellar, first floor, second floor, and third floor & roof plans. The cellar plans include a laundry room, toilet, cold room, heater coal bin, and heater. The first floor plans include a rear porch, pantry, kitchen, butler's pantry, front side porch, dining room, lavatory, entry porch, entry hall, living room, and veranda. The second floor plans include four chambers, two bathrooms (one of which is ensuite), linen closet and hall. The third floor plans include two chambers (bedrooms), a storage room, bath room and hall.
