Seth PeaseAmerican, 1774 - 1819
Seth Pease was born in Suffield on January 9, 1774 and attended Yale College. In 1796 and 1797, he made surveying trips to the Connecticut Western Reserve in what would later become the state of Ohio. He published the first map of the Western Reserve in 1797. Pease died in Philadelphia in 1818.
