William Moore Jr

William Moore, Jr. was born in Simsbury, Connecticut on 13 August 1764. He moved to Barkhamsted with his brother, Apollos Moore. William was friends with Lambert Hitchcock, and some speculate that he may have instructed Hitchcock in stencil decoration. He had a tavern license from 1829 to 1831 in Barkhamsted. His health began to fail around 1830 and he moved to Saugerties, New York. He died there in 1833, but was brought back and buried in Hitchcocksville, Connecticut.
