William A. Beersactive 1850 - 1889

William A. Beers was a photographer in New Haven from about 1850 to 1889. In the course of his career, he produced daguerreotypes, ambrotypes, and crayon miniatures as well as well as albumen prints. Although he apparently first appears in the New Haven city directory in 1854, the imprint on the back of one of his portrait photographs states that the firm was "Established 1850."
