Currier & Ives

James Merritt Ives (1824-1885) joined Nathaniel Currier (1813-1888) in the lithography business in 1857. The firm remained in business in New York City until 1907. They are frequently cited as rivals of the Kellogg brothers, Hartford's most important lithography firm.
