Content Denison

Content Denison was born 29 January 1753 in Stonington, Connecticut. She was the oldest daughter of Captain Joseph Denison (1707-1795) and his second wife, Bridget Noyes Wheeler Denison (1725-1772). She had nine siblings. Content Denison's father was a weaver and farmer; he also served numerous terms as Deputy for Stonington and also as a Justice, Commanding Ensign of West Company in Stonington, and a church deacon. Content Denison married John Williams (b. 1746-after 1794) on 18 January 1770 in Stonington, Connecticut; they had nine children.
