Catherine Wadsworth

Catherine Wadsworth was born in 1786, the daughter of Elizabeth Stevens and Reuben Wadsworth (b. 1753) of Hartford, Connecticut. In 1808, she married Samuel Wadsworth, the son of Gurdon Wadsworth, and settled in New Haven, Connecticut. They had seven children: Catherine (married a Hotchkiss), Elizabeth (b. 1809), Henry Stevens (b. 1811), Samuel Wright (b. 1813), Charles (1816-1828), Eliza (b. 1824, unmarried), and Edward (1827-1828).
