Hannah Lewis

Hannah Lewis was born 2 March 1769, daughter of Job Lewis and Hannah Curtis Lewis of Southington, Connecticut. She married Colonel Rufus Hitchcock (1760-1832) of Cheshire, as his second wife, on 11 July 1792. Their house still stands on the green in Chesire, Connecticut. The Hitchcocks had three children: Jared Rodney (b. 1793); Lucretia Hitchcock Clark (b. 1795 or 1976); and William Rufus (b. 1797). Hannah Lewis Hitchcock died 16 May 1799 in childbirth.
