Katherine Cole

Katherine Cole was born 28 November 1745. She was originally from Connecticut, the daughter of Catharine and James Cole. She married Lieutenant Aaron Gaylord; she and her husband moved with their children to Forty Fort in Wyoming County, Pennsylvania. Her husband was killed in the Massacre of Wyoming on 3 July 1778. Katherine Gaylord then returned to Connecticut with her children. She died in 1840.

There are at least two variants on the spelling of Katherine (also Catharine). "Katherine Cole Gaylord, wife of Lt. Aaron, born 1745, died 1840" appears on her tombstone.
