John & William Ridgway

Job Ridgway (& Sons) were manufacturers of earthenware and porcelain at Cauldon Place, Shelton from 1802 to 1813. The firm was continued by Job's two sons, as John & William Ridgeway, from about 1814 to 1830. In 1830, the two brothers separated. John continued the Cauldon Place Works until 1855, and William Ridgway worked the Bell Works at Shelton and the Church Works in Hanley until 1854.
