Captain William Kellogg (1793-1861) was the son of Samuel Kellogg. He was born on 2 June 1793 in Hebron, Connecticut. He married Sarah Haskins Jones (b. 1800) of East Hartford, Connecticut on 10 February 1820. They had twelve children: Elizabeth Lothrop (1821-1887), Sarah Ann (b.1823), Lucy Jane (1825-1829), William (died in infancy 1829), Sidney (b. 1830), Emma Eudora (b. 1832), Ellen (1833-1835), Rodney (b. 1835), Ellen (1837-1840), Alice Gray (b. 1839), George Collinwood (b. 1841), and Mary (died in infancy 1844). George William Kellogg and his brother Samuel were partners in the S. and W. Kellogg Co., shipping and importing merchants in the West Indies, South American, and China trade. William Kellogg died on 18 November 1861 in East Hartford, Connecticut.
