Amos BradleyAmerican, 1769 - 1835

Amos Bradley was born 9 September 1769, the son of Amy Morris Bradley (b. 1748) and Asa Bradley (1746-1779). His father was a sailor who died in captivity during the American Revolution. Amos Bradley was a furniture maker who worked his entire life in East Haven, Connecticut. He also served as a selectman in that town. Amos Bradley married Elizabeth Jared (1770-1853) in April 1792; they had twelve children, eight of whom lived beyond childhood. Amos Bradley died 18 April 1835.
