Florence May Alford

Florence May Alford of Avon, Connecticut, was born 12 January 1871. She was the daughter of a farmer, Franklin Mills Alford, and his wife, Lucy Ruth Case Alford. She married William E. Johnson (b. 1867) of Glasonbury on 7 April 1892. In 1899, the couple moved to Hartford, where William Johnson worked as a civil engineer. According to the 1899 census, the couple had three children: Hubert; Alfred; and Florence.
