Armin LandeckAmerican, 1905 - 1984

Armin Landeck was born in Crandon, Wisconsin on 4 June 1905. He studied at the University of Michigan and Columbia University where he received a Bachelor of Architecture degree. When he was unable to find work as an architect, he began making prints, mostly views of New York City. In 1931, he moved to East Cornwall, Connecticut, where he lived for several years during the Depression, producing several prints of the Cornwall area. Though he returned to New York to live in 1934, he retained his Connecticut house and studio. He died in Torrington, Connecticut in 1984.
