Sally StilesAmerican, 1786 - 1854

Sarah (Sally) Stiles was born in 1786 and lived in Salisbury, Connecticut. She is documented on the attendance rolls of the Moravian Seminary for Young Ladies, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, in 1801. Sally Stiles married Newman Holley on 17 November 1805, and she had her first child, Francis N. Holley on 13 May 1807. A second son, Ransom Holley was born on 8 August 1813. She also had a daughter named Mary and a son called Frederick. Her firstborn child, Francis, went on to become a partner in the Torrington, Connecticut firm known as The Union Manufacturing Company.
