Thomas Tarbox

Thomas Tarbox was the son of Jonathan and Lydia Bill Tarbox of Hebron, Connecticut. He bought property (half interest) in Scantic, Connecticut, in 1801; five years later he bought out his partner and shortly thereafter, took up tavernkeeping. His first wife, Lucy, died in 1816, the same year in which he remarried Clarissa Collins.
