Alfred A. AdtAmerican, 1863 - 1911

Alfred A. Adt was born in Massachusetts in October 1863. His father was born in Bavaria and his mother was born in France. By 1870, the family was living in Waterbury, CT. Alfred Adt is listed as an apprentice photographer in the 1880 Federal Census. By 1884, he had opened a studio on Bank Street and was advertising his services as a landscape photographer. Beginning in 1886, he was in partnership with his brother Leo and firm name was Adt & Brother. He was still in business in Waterbury in 1900. He died August 17, 1911.
