Harlan H. Griswold

Harlan H. Griswold was born in Pennsylvania. He graduated from Wesleyan Universeity in 1932. He moved to Waterbury, Conn., in 1953 where he was employed in banking. He was also active in the field of historic preservation. He served as commissioner and chairman of the Connecticut Historical Commission and the Connecticut American Revolution Bicentennial Commission, and on the Board of Advisors for the National Trust for Historic Preservation. He won numerous awards for his work in historic preservation.
