Hettie Gray Baker

Hettie Gray Baker was born in Hartford, Connecticut on 12 July 1880, the only child of Josiah Q. Baker and Lizzie Chipman Baker. Her father worked for the Aetna Life Insurance Company for 47 years. Her grandfather, Walter Chipman (b. 1822), was a shipmaster, and for twenty-two years he was Deputy Collector of Customs at Barnstable, Massachusetts. Hettie Gray Baker became a film editor for the Fox Film Corporation in New York City. She died on 14 November 1957 in New York state.
