Eleanor Adelaide Wells

Eleanor Adelaide Wells was born on 4 September 1898 in East Windsor, Connecticut. She was the daughter of Herbert Cuyler and Jennie (Jane) Allen Wells. Eleanor's Grandfather Wells taught her and her younger sister, Louisa, to read; later, the girls attended East Windsor Academy. They graduated from St. Margaret's School in Waterbury, Connecticut, and Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts.

Eleanor Wells married Francis Porter Farnsworth on 4 September 1920. They had five children: Wells Eugene (b. 1921); Mary Jane (b. 1923); Eleanor Terry (b. 1925); Frances Porter (b. 1926); and Pamela Pratt (b. 1929). Eleanor Wells Farnsworth died on 27 April 1977.
