BiographyJohn Roper was a British engraver who was active in London from the late 1790s to about 1810. He engraved the maps for several British atlases and view books, including Robert Wilkinson's A General Atlas (1801-1806), and Edward W. Brayley and John Britton's Beauties of England and Wales (1804-1810).
