BiographyC. Edward Beach was born 2 September 1862. He was president of Beach and Company of West Hartford, Connecticut. He attended Hartford Public High School and the Massachusetts Agricultural College, from which he received a degree in civil engineering. He was in charge of Vine Hill Farm for many years and did surveying and engineering work for the town of West Hartford. He also served on the Board of Selectmen and was President of the War Bureau during World War I. He died in 1940.
