James Newberry

BiographyJames Newberry was born on 27 September 1778 in Bloomfield, Connecticut and died on 15 January 1866. In the 1860 Federal Census, he is listed as a farmer, but he may have been a county surveyor in his youth. A map in the Connecticut Historical Society collection is signed "James Newberrry C.S."
