Geo. H. Walker & Co.

George H. Walker was born in Vermont in January 1852. He started out as a dry goods merchant in Boston, but soon became involved in the publishing business. In 1880, he formed a partnership with his brother Oscar W. Walker and began printing and publishing books and maps, most of them dealing with New England. In 1920, he was living in Needham, Massachusetts, with his wife Irene.
