Frederick C. Rockwell

American, 1855 - 1928
BiographyFrederick Clark Rockwell was born in Weston, Missouri on April 2, 1855, and came to live in Hartford, Connecticut when he was eight years old. His wife, Jennie A. Lockwood, was the youngest daughter of James Lockwood, one of the founders of Case, Lockwood & Brainard. Rockwell's primary business as an adult was the manufacture of wooden boxes, in partnership with his brother, John W. Rockwell. Frederick C. Rockwell was also very interested in real estate development, especially of the West Hartford Boulevard from Prospect Avenue to Main Street. He died in Pasadena, California on December 8, 1928.
