Julia Whitman

Julia Whitman was born in West Hartford, Connecticut about 1804. She died in Danville, Iowa, on 10 March 1864. The Connecticut Historical Society has some of her letters in its manuscript collection; she is probably also the Julia Whitman who drew a map of the world as a school exercise in 1819.
