Frederick L. Ford

American, 1871 - 1940
BiographyFrederick L. Ford was born in May 1871. He attended Yale's Sheffield Scientific School, graduating in 1893. Three years later he was appointed assistant city engineer of Hartford. He served as city engineer and superintendant of streets until 1911, when he moved to New Haven to serve as city engineer there. In 1926, he established Ford Bros., Inc., an oil distributing firm. He died in New Haven in December 1940.
