BiographyFish Commissioners were first appointed by the State of Connecticut in 1867. In 1895, their name was changed to Commissioners of Fisheries and Game, and in 1913, the name became State Board of Fisheries and Game. The State Board of Fisheries and Game became part of the Department of Environmental Protection in 1971.
