George Gillet

George Gillet was born in Hebron, Connecticut in 1771. He collaborated with Moses Warren, Jr. on an important survey of the state of Connecticut, resulting in an important map, Connecticut, From Actual Survey, Made in 1811; By and under the direction of, Moses Warren and George Gillet; and by them Compiled. Gillet was made surveyor general of the state of Connecticut in 1813, following the publication of this map. Gillet died in Hebron on 5 March 1853.
