Edward Payson Jones II

BiographyEdward Payson Jones II was born on 23 August 1900 in Winsted, Connecticut, the son of Edward Payson Jones I and Frances Isabella Bronson. He had a brother, Dr. Roderick Bissell Jones (1898-1974). Jones graduated from Yale University in 1922. He served in the SATC with the rank of Private while a student at Yale, and was granted an honorable discharge from the army on 19 December 1918. He married Esther Hill Sherwood of Brooklyn, New York on 14 February 1924 and they had a son named Edward Payson III (b. 9 November 1930) and a daughter named Nancy Lee.
