Lawrence Fagan

American, born about 1825
BiographyAccording to Groce & Wallace, L. Fagan (possibly Lawrence Fagan) was born in Ireland about 1825 and immigrated to the United States about 1850. He was responsible for town and county maps of Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania (and possibly other states) during the 1850s and 1860s. Though his name is sometimes given as Lawrence Fagan, the established Library of Congress form is L. Fagan. Fagan was a resident of Philadelphia in 1860 and his maps were printed and published in that city.
