Donald Grant Mitchell

BiographyDonald Grant Mitchell was born in Norwich, Connecticut on 12 April 1822. He graduated from Yale College in 1841, traveled in Europe, and began writing a series of best-selling books under the pseudonym, Ik Marvel. These included Reveries of a Bachelor (1850) and Dream Life (1851). His home outside New Haven was known as Marvelwood. He died in 1908.
