Jacob Chace, Jr. was an American surveyor, mapmaker, and civil engineer. He conducted the surveys for a number of maps, including Clark's Map of Fairfield County, Connecticut, and later became a map publisher.
He was born on 27 January 1819 in North Hoosick, New York. He was the son of Jacob Chace (1779-1867) and Anna Parker (1790-1858). His first wife was Hannah E. Barker (1830-1876). They had two children: Carrie Isabella Chace (1853-1871) and Joseph Barker Chace (1865-1869). His second wife was Mary A. Wylie (1838-1890). They had no children. He died on 18 February 1903 in Omaha, Nebraska. He is buried in Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, New York.
